Do what the locals do and Float the Deschutes River in a canoe, kayak, paddleboard or tube from Farewell Bend Park, past the Old Mill to Drake Park. The Floaters Channel, a passageway that consists of a series of minor drops in elevation resulting in some river turbulence, allows floaters to pass under the Colorado Avenue Bridge. After the Galveston Bridge, exit the river to the right and end your float at Drake Park.
