Cycling is a way of life in Bend. The endless world-class mountain biking trails are a biker’s paradise. There is so much sweet, flowy and epic dirt that many riders won’t be able to cover it all in a lifetime. The meticulously maintained trails cater to riders of all abilities and disciplines, from beginner and kid-friendly cross country, to downhill and dirt-jumping.
The famous Phil’s Trail System Skyliner Trailhead (TH) is just 1.5 miles from the Tumalo Lake Cabins and the Sector 16 trail loops right around Sector 16, which is the entire square mile of Tumalo Lake Lodge property. Other exciting trails close by are Tumalo Creek Trail and Tumalo Ridge Trail and Swampy Lakes to Swede Ridge Trail and Swampy Lakes Epic Trail. For additional trails, check out the topo maps and look for Tumalo Lake and Skyliner TH for orientation to the cabins:
Mt. Bachelor Mountain Biking (40 minute drive), a higher elevation trail system, has a lift-served bike park.
