Tumalo Falls is a majestic 97 foot waterfall just minutes from the Tumalo Lake Lodge Cabins. Located several miles further up Skyliner Road from the Cabins’ access road, there is a trailhead for numerous hiking and mountain biking trails. You can hike up to the waterfall overlook for a stunning view and hike upstream taking in many smaller waterfalls along the way. About four miles upstream is the Happy Valley area, an idyllic alpine meadows with seasonal wildflowers including lupine, larkspur, Indian paintbrush and columbine, where quaint wooden bridges cross clear creeks.
At the Falls there is a picnic area and toilet. There is a $5 per day use vehicle fee or use a Northwest Forest Pass or Golden Eagle Pass.
